GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Concrete truck driver is a skilled position involving the safe and efficient operation of ready-mix trucks. Deliveries will be made in both industrial and residential areas. DZ Concrete Drivers will deliver the Right Concrete to the Right job and the Right time. Safely and with a smile.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Driver shall take instructions from the Batch Plant Supervisor. Delivery and shift schedules will be directed by the scheduled batch operator as work schedules demand. The driver is responsible for the efficient working condition and cleanliness of the truck and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor. Driver will perform pre-and post-trip log records and maintain efficient records if required.

Drivers will be expected to assist in maintaining a clean and safe working environment in and around the batch plant as per supervisor's instructions.

• Drivers will operate equipment safely and efficiently.

• Driver will execute a delivery site inspection for possible hazards (pipes, sewer tanks, drain fields)

• Drivers will maintain accurate and timely records.

• Drivers will obtain signatures on delivery tickets for proof of delivery.

• Drivers will obtain signatures of authorization regarding additions of water to the concrete product.

• Driver will obtain signatures of authorization if instructed to drive on property not authorized to do so, or in locations on the property where driver feels property could be damaged.

• Must have an understanding and willingness to comply with company policies and procedures. I 0. Possess a valid state commercial driver's license (CDL).

• Must be able to pick up a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly

  • Must be able to work callouts at all hours and OT as needed — will involve late night and early morning hours based on customer projects.

Ability to communicate effectively with the customers and appropriately represent the company.

• Must maintain a clean driving record.

• Driver must be able to successfully pass our background and screening, drug screen, and DOT physical.
